AEBC Buildrite Cup Final 4 set
THE Architects and Engineers Basketball Club (AEBC) Buildrite Cup 2025 is down from 12 to four teams with the semifinal round set to start this weekend at the University of San Carlos (USC) Downtown Campus Gymnasium.
Surviving the gruelling elimination and quarterfinal rounds are Natica, Blockout, Handy Fix Pro, and Confix.
In the semis scheduled on March 28, Blockout will take on
Handy Fix Pro while Natica will tangle with Confix.
The conclusion of the quarterfinals saw Natica nip Makaw, 71-57, with Dexsel Caadan leading the winning team with 16 points, six rebounds, five steals, and four blocks, and an assist.
Philip Alegado contributed 14 points while John Therese Buhawe added 12 markers.
Makaw drew 13 points from Jeanne Paolo Perez, while Levi Sinson added 11 in the losing effort.
Confix secured its own seat in the semis by downing Smartbond, 78-70.
Juan Miguel Dela Torre topped Confix with17 points with Rex Cagulada and Gil Dumadag contributing 14 points each and Dafydd Tallido adding 10.
Smartbond was led by Niel Tiempo with a game-high 18 points.
Also, Handy Fix Pro kept its campaign alive via a 72-66 dumping of Kryocrete.
Jett Latonio towed Handy Fix Pro to the big win by producing 21 points, seven rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and a steal. Ivan Deo tossed in15 points, while Conrad Andrino and Carl Caramonte added 14 and 11, respectively.
Romy Faunillan led the eliminated Kryocrete with 23 points.
Blockout advanced to the semis without breaking a sweat following a forfeiture win over Rubberstop.(CCM)
