THE Cebu Greats are piling up wins ahead of a pair of home games in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League) 2026 Season.

Cebu is currently at fourth place in the South Division, winning their last two games that hiked their record to 9-3 (win-loss). The Greats’ last win was a resounding 100-51 dumping of the Parañaque Patriots last Wednesday, June 10.

Jonathan Ralf Gesalem spearheaded Cebu in the win by firing 24 points–all coming from the three-point range. Simon Camacho added 16 points and Andrey Armenion had 10 as Cebu won its first game since parting ways with veteran guard Brian Heruela.

New recruits Al Francis Tamsi and Ichie Altamirano turned in decent numbers in their first game with Cebu after contributing nine and eight points respectively. Cebu sealed the 49-point rout despite getting just seven points from prolific scorer Mark Meneses.

Cebuano fans can have a closer at Cebu when the Greats play two home games next month.

Cebu will take on Biñan on July 16 at the Lapu-Lapu City Hoops Dome where Basilan and Batangas also collide in the curtain-raiser.

The Greats will also play at the Cebu Coliseum against Caloocan on July 18. The Cebu-Caloocan duel will be spiced up by the Mindoro Tamaraws-Zamboanga Zikat in the opening match.(CCM)
