THE Benedicto College (BC) Cheetahs and the Sacred Heart School–Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) Magis Eagles posted blowout wins in the continuing basketball action of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) Season 25 on Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the Cebu Coliseum.

The Cheetahs demolished the University of San Carlos (USC) Warriors in the college division, 82-58, while the Magis Eagles easily won their high school division duel with the Don Bosco Technical College (DBTC) Greywolves, 79-59.

Serge Gabines topped the Cheetahs with a game-high 24 points on a 10-of-12 shooting from the field. He also had seven rebounds, two steals, and an assist in the team’s seventh win in nine games.

Den Rick Orgong added 10 points, four assists, three rebounds, and a block as BC dealt USC its fifth loss through nine games.

James Paolo Gica finished with 19 points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals and Kyle Maglinte added 11 markers but the Warriors could not duplicate their first-round win over the same BC team.

Ateneo, on the other hand, improved to 5-1 (win-loss) in the season after getting 14 points, 11 rebounds, and two blocks from Jacob Lacson.

It was Henry Kristoffer Suico who actually led all Ateneo scorers with 15 points to go with five assists, two steals, and two rebounds.

The Greywolves suffered a second straight loss to fall to 1-6.

Lord Adriel Sasuman led DBTC with 11 points, while Daniel Cerilles Jr., Jasheed Ybarra, and Paul Abangan put in 10 markers apiece.(CCM)
