Man dies, female pal hurt in Transcentral bike crash

A 23-YEAR-OLD man died while his 22-year-old female backrider was injured when the motorycle they were riding crashed in Barangay Tabunan, Cebu City.

Police said the two motorists came from a drinking session and were heading home when the accident happened on Transcentral Highway at 1:40 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 6.

Police said Marc and Daffny (not their real names) had a drinking session with their friends in Balamban town.

After a few bottles, the two decided to go home.

Investigation conducted by the Traffic Enforcement Unit of the Cebu City Police Office showed that Marc was negotiating a downhill portion along Redcliff when he lost control of the motorcycle.

The motorcycle crashed into a traffic sign post, throwing the riders off the vehicle.

The two were brought to the Cebu City Medical Center where Marc was declared dead, police said.(CDB)
