THE NLEX Road Warriors made it two-in-a-row after they plastered the Magnolia Hotshots, 112-105, in the 50th PBA Commissioner’s Cup on Sunday night, March 15, at the Ynares Center in Montalban.

Seven NLEX players scored in double figures in a balanced attack that shoved the Road Warriors to another win and created a three-way tie for the early lead in the team standings.

With the win, NLEX, which defeated the Blackwater Bossing in its first assignment, 84-81, joined the Terrafirma Dyip and Phoenix Fuel Masters at the No. 1 spot with identical 2-0 (win-loss) cards.

Cady Lalanne powered the Road Warriors with 24 points and 11 rebounds. Schonny Winston, Robert Bolick, and JB Bahio added 14 points each, LJ Gonzales and Kevin Alas contributed 13 apiece, while Anthony Semerad tossed in 11.

Import Nuni Omot exploded for 32 points but Magnolia stayed winless after two games, falling again after enduring a tough 98-101 loss to Phoenix last Friday.

Jerom Lastimosa scored 23 points, Rome Dela Rosa tallied 17 and Zavier Lucero had 16 but the Hotshots cooled off after erecting a 13-point lead in the second quarter.
