Playoff pairings in CABC Corporate Cup hoops sealed

THE playoff pairings have been finalized following the conclusion of the classification round of the Cebu Architects Basketball Club (CABC) 8th Corporate Cup over the weekend at the Game Changer Sports Complex in Mandaue City.

Leading the quarterfinalists is SR & T Industrial Supply, which secured the No. 1 spot after ending the classification round with six wins and just one loss.

Landlite emerged as the second seed with a 5-2 (win-loss) record followed by No. 3 seed Boysen Paints, which also wound up with a 5-2 record.

Completing the Top 4 is EZ Pavers, who tallied four wins and three losses in the classification.

Corr Chem ranked fifth with four victories and three defeats. EZ Pavers secured the No. 4 spot owing to a superior quotient against Corr Chem.

Taking the sixth and seventh spots are Davies Paints and Modern Windows with identical 2-5 records. Finishing dead last is Elite Athletics, which went winless in the classification phase.

In the quarterfinal round, it will be No. 1 versus No. 8, No. 2 vs No. 7, No. 3 vs. No. 6, and No. 4 vs. 5. The quarterfinals will begin on Sunday, July 19, with the Top 4 teams enjoying twice-to-beat bonuses over their lower-ranked foes.(CCM)
