Woman found dead in Bohol ricefield

A 38-YEAR-OLD farmer was found dead in the middle of a ricefield in Valencia, Bohol.

Police identified the fatality as Charity Albotra, a resident of Barangay Omjon, Valencia.

Police said the woman bore a slit wound in the neck when she was found around 2:45 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30.

Police investigation showed that another farmer, Pelagio Daigdigan, 60, was the one who discovered the body.

Barangay officials then alerted the police.

Police said a follow-up investigation is underway to identify the culprit in the gruesome crime.(CDB)
