14 in Saudia Arabia helicopter crash
FOURTEEN people were killed after a helicopter owned by state oil giant Aramco crashed in the eastern coastal city of Ras Tanura at around 6 a.m. local time on Sunday, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The report by BBC stated that all 14 fatalities were Saudi citizens.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash, while Aramco has yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
The Saudi Ministry of Energy extended its condolences to the families of the victims following the fatal crash.
Ras Tanura is home to one of Aramco's largest oil refineries in the Middle East.
The incident occurred days after the company resumed crude oil loading operations at the site following an almost four-month suspension caused by the war in the Middle East. (Jhenevive Etang, PIT Comm Intern)
