GOVERNMENT services in Lapu-Lapu City can now be accessed online as the local government unit (LGU) introduced a digital platform for easy access of the city's services.

Launched during the flag-raising ceremony at the City Hall on Monday, June 1, the OneLapuLapu SuperApp citizen portal was developed by the City Information Technology Department that aims to "make government services easier, faster and more accessible for Oponganons through a single digital plaform."

The web-based app serves as a one-stop digital platform where Oponganons can conveniently access to different digital services of the departments and offices of the Lapu-Lapu City government which include schedules for the Libreng Sakay buses on the City Mayor's Office; educational scholarship application, skills training, or medical and burial assistance under the Lone District Representative's Office; and health services like dental, health cards and animal bite vaccination schedules under the City Health Office.

Oponganons can also access the local job postings and job fair schedules unde the City Employement Office, request tax declarations under the City Assesor's Office, and even request birth, death and marriage certificates under the Civil Registry Office.

The platform also provides real-time udpates, announcements, and notifications from the city government.

According to the city's Public Information Office, the OneLapuLapu Super App will have a key role in the upcoming 65th Charter Day of Lapu-Lapu City this June 17.

"We are shifting towards an integrated, smart city framework aron mas effecients ang atong mga serbisyo para sa mga Oponganon. Gi-integrate nato diri ang mga importanteng digital services sa nagkadaiyang opisina ug giusa kini sa usa ka platform nga accessible kaayo pinaagi sa atong mga smartphones" Mayor Cindi King Chan said during the launch.

Opoganons will have to register first in the platform before they can access the digital services.(MyTVCebu)
