SR&T starts title defense with blowout win in CABC hoops
SR&T Industrial Supply marked the start of its title-retention bid with a dominant performance as it routed Peralta Design Services, 75-59, in the Cebu Architects Basketball Club (CABC) 8th Corporate Cup, which opened on Sunday, May 31, at Game Changer in Mandaue City.
SR&T flexed its deep offensive machinery in chalking up the one-sided win as it had three players scoring in double figures led by the 16-point output of h Philip Bryan Alegado. It was a double-double game for Alegado, who also tallied 13 rebounds and two assists.
Chester Hinagdanan contributed 13 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and a steal, while Michael Judilla threw in 11 points.
Peralta Design Services stumbled despite getting 20 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists from Joseph Gerundio.
Also taking off to a winning start was EZ Pavers, which demolished Corr Chem, 83-62.
Anthony Bajenting steered EZ Pavers to the dominant win by collecting 31 points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Zach Elisha Go added 13 points.
Rei Allen Aureo topped Corr Chem with 26 points, nine rebounds, a steal, and a block.
Boysen Paints, on the other hand, leaned on Aspacio brothers, Lemuel and Justin, to score a 97-57 thrashing of Davies Paints.
Lemuel racked up 21 points, seven rebounds, and three assists, while Justin delivered 19 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists.
Miggy Appari collected 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Reddick Palmitos cougched up 10 points in the win
Jeffrey Basallo topped the losing squad with 16 points. Hendrick Tariman and Charles Villasencio added 14 points appiece.
Joining the opening day winners was Modern Windows, which tripped Landlite, 66-59.(CCM)
